The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience and a proven track record of developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for precision aerospace and defense components and assemblies. This role serves as the technical bridge between engineering and production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and capable of meeting stringent quality, schedule, and regulatory requirements.

The Staff Manufacturing Engineer will be actively engaged on the production floor, providing hands-on support to manufacturing operations, resolving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will support multiple programs and contracts simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while ensuring production schedules, customer commitments, and program milestones are achieved.

The successful candidate will also support quoting and estimating activities, manufacturing planning, production scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace and defense products, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved. Collaborate with design engineering teams during product development to provide design recommendations.

Apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate engineering drawings, resolve manufacturability concerns, develop manufacturing strategies, and support inspection and acceptance requirements. Evaluate product designs and recommend manufacturing process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, increase production efficiency, and improve schedule performance.

Develop manufacturing plans, process flows, work instructions, routers, tooling concepts, and production documentation. Support manufacturing execution by providing daily hands-on technical support on the shop floor, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing corrective actions. Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering resource for new product introduction and transition from development to production.

Prepare cost estimates and manufacturing quotes by evaluating labor content, machine time, tooling requirements, materials, and process capabilities.
