Job Title: Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily activities of a food manufacturing production team to ensure schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety. This role leads a small team, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with cross-functional departments to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production plans. Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards. Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance. Enforce all company safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and applicable regulatory requirements.

Lead shift start-up meetings and clearly communicate production goals, performance metrics, and operational updates to the team. Train, coach, and develop production personnel to maximize performance, engagement, and adherence to procedures. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address employee concerns in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth, coordinated operations across the facility.

Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment downtime, and process deviations to minimize disruption and maintain product quality. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking for reporting and analysis. Ensure proper staffing levels on assigned shifts and support scheduling requirements to meet production demands. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings throughout the production area.

Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing food production. High school diploma or GED. Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and workplace safety standards. Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems. Hands-on experience with production, supervision, and safety practices in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge and practical application of GMPs and HACCP in a food production environment. Work Environment This role is based in a small food manufacturing facility where you oversee up to 10 employees, allowing for close collaboration and direct impact on day-to-day operations.

Shifts include 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with flexibility for overtime and weekends when required. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with strict adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and regulatory standards, and regular interaction with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
