1st Shift Forklift Operator Paying 25/hr

Job Title: Forklift Operator / Material Handler Job Description This role focuses on safely operating stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks, move inventory throughout the facility, and support production by staging and replenishing materials. You will work a 12-hour rotating schedule on either day or night shift, using RF scanners and following Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain accurate documentation and organized warehouse and staging areas.

Responsibilities Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely, primarily working on the docks. Follow all safety procedures at all times, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Respond to alarms, identify potential issues, and assist in troubleshooting to keep operations running smoothly. Maintain neat and orderly warehouse and staging areas, following 5S and housekeeping standards.

Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment such as stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, pallet jack, and handcart. Use RF scanners and other tools to maintain accurate documentation for materials, including batches, material changes, and material locations. Maintain tools, components, and material handling equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Assist with physical inventory counts and perform cycle counts as required. Stage resins and components to work orders and allocate materials to the appropriate production areas. Perform daily cleaning for all blender and dryer filters and ensure blenders and dryers remain full and operating properly. Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner, including lot changes, job verifications, material verification reports, and two-hour checklists.

Restock materials properly and plan material and color changes so they occur in a timely manner according to the production schedule. Communicate potential material shortages to warehouse leadership and production teams and help ensure materials are issued correctly. Control and maintain scrap generated by production, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Perform line clearances outside of the clean room as required to support production changeovers.

Fill out inventory tags for restocked material after orders are complete. Assemble cartons and containers using appropriate hand tools to support packaging operations. Assist with packaging and sealing molded and/or assembled product according to company and customer specifications when needed. Package, label, and stack product on skids in accordance with lot information and product specifications.

Monitor equipment performance related to resins and materials and report any out-of-line conditions or damaged equipment to supervision or maintenance. Clean and maintain auxiliary material handling systems and support equipment, including grinders and related machinery. Maintain housekeeping in material loading areas and airlock, supporting lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Retrieve packing materials from the warehouse and ensure they are available for production and packaging activities.

Follow and maintain all company policies, including Health and Safety requirements, GMP, standard work procedures, Continuous Improvement practices, and ISO standards. Operate packaging equipment as required, following product specifications and work instructions. Complete Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities for packaging auxiliary equipment as needed. Follow instructions provided in ID sheets and visual work instructions to ensure consistent and correct execution of tasks.
