Job Title: 1st Shift Production Worker Job Description Join a dynamic production company that specializes in the manufacturing of grout and concrete as a long-term general production worker. You will be part of a dedicated team ensuring the efficient operation of production cycles. Responsibilities Setup and operate machines by cleaning, calibrating, and loading raw materials to initiate production cycles.
Load, unload, and transport materials and finished products using a forklift. Monitor equipment during operation to maintain proper speed, output, and accuracy. Conduct quality control inspections of finished products using measuring tools to identify any flaws. Perform basic cleaning, routine checks, and minor adjustments to machines to prevent breakdowns. Follow all health and safety rules, wear protective gear, and record production data in daily logs.
Essential Skills Experience with forklift (minimum of 3 months). 1 to 3 years of experience working with production or manufacturing equipment. Ability to complete basic math and measuring tasks to read weights and chemical sheets. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a production traveler. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable being cross-trained within multiple departments. Ability to stand for long hours, bend, and lift heavy loads. Why Work Here? Personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, and respiratory masks are provided. The role is based on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 4:00am – 2:30pm, with potential for overtime as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Mirada, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
