Job Title: AOG Mechanic Job Description The Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Mechanic is a critical rapid-response technician responsible for performing emergency aircraft maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repairs to safely and quickly return grounded aircraft to service. This role operates under strict time constraints and requires high technical proficiency, sound judgment, and adaptability in dynamic operational environments.

Responsibilities Respond rapidly to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and perform emergency maintenance to return aircraft to service as quickly and safely as possible. Conduct detailed diagnostic troubleshooting on aircraft systems to accurately identify mechanical and avionics issues. Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Work on Challenger, Citation, and Phenom aircraft, applying type-specific knowledge to maintenance and repair activities. Use technical documentation, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins to guide inspection, troubleshooting, and repair work. Ensure all work complies with applicable aviation regulations, company standards, and safety procedures. Document maintenance actions clearly and accurately, including parts used, work performed, and corrective actions taken.

Operate company vehicles to travel to off-site locations and perform AOG maintenance as needed. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize tasks and meet demanding time constraints in high-impact situations. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized, and service-ready condition. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to take on additional shifts or off-day work when required to support operational needs.

Essential Skills 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required; 10–15 years of experience preferred. Current and valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required. Hands-on maintenance experience with Challenger, Citation, or Phenom aircraft. Proven experience working in AOG environments or performing rapid-response aircraft maintenance. Strong aircraft troubleshooting skills across airframe and related systems.

Ability to drive and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for company vehicle use. Ability to work under strict time constraints while maintaining safety and quality standards. Solid understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and regulatory compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Extensive airframe maintenance experience on business jet platforms such as Challenger, Citation, and Phenom.

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational demands in an AOG environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate maintenance documentation. Proactive, hard-working attitude with a willingness to take initiative and go beyond minimum requirements. Comfort working variable schedules, including the ability to work on off days when needed. The schedule follows an 8-days-on, 6-days-off rotation, and technicians may have opportunities to work additional days based on operational needs. The environment is fast-paced and time-sensitive, requiring focus on safety, precision, and responsiveness while working around active flight operations and standard aviation maintenance tools and equipment.
