Job Title: Assembler Job Description The Assembler performs repetitive assembly, testing, and refurbishment operations in a manufacturing environment focused on pumps, service kits, motors, drive couplings, and related high-precision components. Working under close supervision, this role assembles, tests, and packages products made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel, ceramics, and plastics such as acrylic and PEEK, while adhering to established procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Pay: $20/hr + overtime available Shift: First (1st) shift: 4:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Thursday or 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday  Responsibilities Perform bench assembly operations on pump heads, service kits, motors, and drive housings using appropriate fixtures, tooling, and hand tools. Refurbish units, bypass assemblies, and sub-assemblies by disassembling, cleaning, replacing components, and reassembling to required specifications.

Check assemblies for proper fit and function, adjusting, aligning, and replacing parts and components as needed to meet quality and performance requirements. Test pump and motor assemblies using written test procedures, test stands, gauges, flow meters, and other measurement devices to verify performance. Rework faulty pump and motor assemblies, diagnosing issues and replacing or adjusting parts when necessary to correct defects.

Read and fully understand product sketches, engineering drawings, MCDs, and PCDs to ensure accurate assembly and testing of components. Perform preventative maintenance on test equipment, including gauges, flow meters, and test stands, to maintain reliability and accuracy. Transport parts to be tested and completed assemblies to the appropriate areas for shipping, stocking, or further processing in an organized and safe manner.

Determine product rejects for rework or scrap based on inspection results and quality standards, and complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately. Participate in organizing and supporting statistical quality control activities to help monitor and improve product quality and process performance. Work in cleanroom or controlled production environments as required, following all cleanliness and contamination control procedures.

Use hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques to build high-precision products from stainless steel, ceramics, and various plastics. Perform visual inspections, including microscope inspection when needed, to identify small defects and ensure components meet specifications. Follow all verbal and written instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support production, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent education. Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Capability to read fine graduations on micrometers and other precision measurement instruments. Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Strong visual acuity for close detail work, including microscope inspection, operating tools and machinery, and using measurement devices. Ability to perform visual inspection involving small defects and parts with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to read and understand product sketches, engineering drawings, MCDs, and PCDs. Comfort using hand tools and mechanical assembly equipment in a production setting.
