Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description We are seeking a dependable Assembly Technician to assemble products using hand and power tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred, but training is provided for motivated individuals. Responsibilities Assemble products and components according to work instructions. Use hand tools and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, and grinders.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Meet daily production goals while working with a team. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures. Essential Skills Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Strong attention to detail and quality. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Additional Qualifications Manufacturing, assembly, construction, or warehouse experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Work Environment This position is located in an indoor manufacturing facility with approximately 120 employees. Employees work 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with optional overtime on Saturdays. The facility is not temperature controlled , and employees should be comfortable working in varying temperatures throughout the year. Steel-toe or composite-toe boots are required, while all other necessary PPE is provided by the company.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
