Job Title: Assembler (Industrial / Construction Background Preferred) Job Description Join a growing prefabrication manufacturing team in the person, VA as an Assembler, contributing to the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for individuals with industrial manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, carpentry, electrical, or other hands-on trade experience who enjoy working with tools, reading measurements, and following blueprints.
Training is available for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, good dexterity, and a solid work ethic who are eager to learn and build a long-term career. Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly tasks to build prefabricated products according to established specifications and quality standards. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fasten, and assemble materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tape measure measurements to complete accurate assemblies.
Handle general labor duties such as material handling, staging components, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Work with construction-related materials, including concrete and structural components, as part of the assembly process. Follow production schedules and meet daily and weekly output goals while maintaining high quality. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues, improve processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production operations. Participate in on-the-job training to expand skills and prepare for advancement into more skilled positions within the facility. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, carpentry, electrical work, or other skilled trades.
Proficiency using hand and power tools in a safe and controlled manner. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately and follow basic measurements. Capability to read and interpret blueprints or assembly drawings. Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude for detailed assembly work. Strong attendance record and reliable work ethic in previous roles. Comfort performing general labor tasks in a production or construction environment.
Ability to work a minimum of 48 hours per week on a late-day/overnight schedule. Willingness to wear and properly use required PPE such as steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in prefabrication manufacturing or production environments. Experience working with concrete, structural components, or similar construction materials.
Prior experience as a laborer helper, production worker, or assembler. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and industrial equipment. Eagerness to learn new skills and take on more complex tasks over time. Ability to thrive in a non-climate-controlled facility and perform physically active work. Interest in building a long-term career in manufacturing with opportunities for advancement. Training is available for candidates with strong hands-on experience and a solid work ethic, even if direct assembly experience is limited.
