Your role will involve reading, interpreting, and following technical drawings and assembly documentation to ensure high-quality production. Responsibilities Conduct mechanical assembly of precision instrumentation according to assembly drawings and work instructions.
Read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly documentation. Collaborate with production operators and team members to achieve quality and production targets. Inspect assembled components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Identify assembly issues and apply practical problem-solving skills to resolve them efficiently. Maintain accurate production records and adhere to documented manufacturing processes.
Utilize computers and workstation systems for production tracking and documentation as required. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe following company procedures. Essential Skills Strong mechanical assembly skills. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable using computers and production software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Manual dexterity and small-parts assembly skills. Experience using precision measurement tools. The team size includes machine shop floor and warehouse teams, as well as an additional assembly production team and office team. The dress code requires safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, dust masks, and vests, all provided on site.
The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime until 5:30pm and some weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Maple Ridge, BC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
