Job Title: Assembler Job Description The Production Team Member will be actively engaged on the shop floor, contributing to one of three departments. Employees will receive cross-training to ensure versatility and may be required to assist in various departments as needed. Responsibilities Assemble computer rack systems using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, and air guns to customize server racks that range in size from 3ft to 7ft.
Load manufactured parts onto the paint line, ensuring safe handling through 'Team Lift' for larger items, and subsequently unload finished parts for the assembly department. Prepare materials in the production department by grinding and deburring metals, organizing finished parts for assembly, and performing basic warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trucks. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Strong communication skills are essential. Additional Skills & Qualifications Entry-level candidates are welcome if they are eager to learn and have some exposure to using hand tools and power tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment The company specializes in manufacturing customized computer server cabinets and related systems. It operates across three US locations with a yearly revenue of $75-100 million. Employees enjoy a casual dress code, with jeans and t-shirts acceptable, and steel-toe shoes preferred but not mandatory. The team consists of approximately 150-200 people spread over two shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
