Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description The Assembly Technician plays a key role in a growing semiconductor manufacturing environment, performing hands-on assembly, inspection, and modification of parts and components. This is an entry-level opportunity with full training provided, ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy working with tools, interpreting blueprints, and contributing to high-quality production in a clean, professional setting.

Responsibilities Perform assembly of parts and components according to shop drawings, blueprints, and established production processes. Apply basic to intermediary knowledge of assembly production processes to complete routine tasks in line with departmental policies and procedures. Identify parts that do not meet industry standards through testing and visual inspection throughout the build process.

Modify various parts using appropriate hand tools and equipment to meet the requirements of each specific build. Maintain clear and timely communication with the supervisor to ensure efficient workflow and on-time production. Complete and submit daily time costing sheet documentation with accurate service, project, and billing information. Maintain a professional manner at all times to positively represent the company’s image with customers and colleagues.

Follow all required safety regulations and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring the workspace is properly cleaned prior to leaving each job. Attend and actively participate in departmental and company meetings as required. Work under direct supervision while developing skills and knowledge through on-the-job training. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and departmental goals.

Essential Skills Basic to intermediary knowledge of assembly production processes. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and schematic layouts. Mechanical and inspection knowledge, including familiarity with micrometers and other measurement tools. Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Visual acuity and manual dexterity to handle small parts and perform precise assembly and inspection tasks.

Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures. Capability to work effectively under direct supervision in a structured production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate (or equivalent experience).

Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or cleanroom environments is beneficial. Comfort working with mechanical assemblies and inspection processes. Familiarity with GMP or similar production standards is a plus. Willingness to learn and expand technical skills through training and development programs.
