Assembly Technician Job Description Are you experienced in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment and looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? Join a rapidly growing semiconductor company as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a crucial role in assembling various electro-mechanical devices used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your ability to follow manufacturing drawings and use mechanical hand tools will be essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities Operate tools to perform assembly in a cleanroom environment. Make minor setups of equipment in assigned areas. Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance. Perform tests or quality checks on assembled units. Interpret drawings and identify needed modifications and improvements. Work under direct supervision. Essential Skills 2+ years of recent mechanical assembly experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools. Visual acuity and manual dexterity. Ability to clearly explain experience from previous jobs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Vocational or technical training preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role requires working on the 2nd shift from 2:30-11pm, with some overtime and occasional Saturdays. Candidates must be comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and wearing full cleanroom attire. The position is a 90-business-day contract to hire (approximately 4 months). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
