Job Title: Tech I Have to be open to all shifts! Pay $21/hour Job Description The Tech I supports a fast-paced RME (Reliability Maintenance and Engineering) department by performing preventative maintenance, jam clearing, basic repairs, cleaning, and organizing within a large distribution and warehouse environment. This is a 4‑month project role with the potential to extend, focused on maintaining safe and efficient operation of conveyor and facility systems using a variety of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and other warehouse equipment to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations. Clear jams and resolve basic mechanical issues on conveyors and related equipment in a safe and timely manner. Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance, repair, and basic mechanical tasks as assigned. Conduct general facilities upkeep, including cleaning, organizing work areas, and maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Follow detailed instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines in all maintenance and operational activities. Troubleshoot routine mechanical and operational issues and escalate more complex problems when necessary. Complete all required safety training and strictly comply with safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members and support additional maintenance or warehouse projects as assigned.
Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders as required for maintenance work. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience working in a distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment. At least 1 year of experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools. At least 1 year of experience performing preventative facilities maintenance, such as jam clearing on conveyors or similar equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve problems in routine maintenance and operational situations. Strong commitment to safety and ability to maintain safety compliance at all times. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation. Basic mechanical aptitude for working with conveyors and related equipment.
Troubleshooting skills for identifying and addressing routine mechanical or operational issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with conveyor maintenance in a distribution or warehouse setting. Exposure to HVAC or other facility systems maintenance. Experience in general repair work within an industrial or warehouse environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance or warehouse team.
Strong organizational skills to keep tools, parts, and work areas clean and orderly. Previous experience completing structured safety training programs. Qualification in preventative maintenance or related maintenance training is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a large, active distribution and warehouse facility within the RME (Reliability Maintenance and Engineering) department.
You will work around conveyor systems, mechanical equipment, and general warehouse infrastructure, using a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs. The project is scheduled for approximately 4 months with the possibility of extension.
