Job Title: Automotive Electrical Installer Shift: 6am-3:30pm Pay: $22-26/hr Job Description This role focuses on installing and wiring automotive electrical systems for snow plow equipment and related components. You will pull and route electrical wiring through vehicle mirrors into controllers, assemble and install wire harnesses, and work with 12V automotive systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Success in this position requires strong electrical experience, hands-on automotive wiring skills, and solid mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities Pull electrical wires through snow plow mirrors and route them cleanly and securely into controllers. Install, assemble, and terminate automotive wiring and wire harnesses using appropriate tools and techniques. Work with 12V automotive electrical systems, including circuits, lighting (including emergency lighting), relays, and fusing.
Interpret and follow wiring diagrams and electrical schematics to complete installations accurately. Perform voltage testing and basic diagnostics to verify system functionality and identify issues. Select and apply correct fuses, understand amperage ratings, and use appropriate wire gauge for each application. Organize and manage wiring to ensure neat, safe, and serviceable installations within vehicles and equipment.
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, secure, and install electrical components in trucks and automotive platforms. Support production and installation workflows in a garage setting with lifts, maintaining efficiency and quality. Communicate in English to understand work instructions, document work performed, and coordinate with team members. Essential Skills Demonstrated electrical experience working with automotive or similar systems.
Hands-on experience with automotive wiring, including routing, terminating, and securing wires. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working on vehicles and equipment in a shop or garage environment. Knowledge of 12V automotive electrical systems, including automotive circuits and lighting. Understanding of emergency-type lighting installations and related electrical requirements. Familiarity with automotive relays, fusing, and amperage ratings.
Ability to select and use appropriate wire gauge ratings for specific electrical loads. Experience working with wire harnesses, including assembly and installation. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Competence in voltage testing and basic electrical troubleshooting. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for electrical assembly and installation. Ability to write and communicate effectively in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with car alarm systems is a plus. Experience with remote start systems is a plus. Experience in automotive maintenance or the automotive industry is beneficial. Experience with truck and snow plow equipment installations is an advantage. Comfort working in a production-oriented environment with installation targets. Why Work Here?
