Job Title: Buyer Job Description A buyer is responsible for providing administrative and purchasing support to the department and product managers with the daily operations of procuring material and managing inventory. Responsibilities Obtain quotes from mills, suppliers, and service subcontractors. Assist with negotiating pricing of materials and services, excluding new vendor setup negotiations.

Review and adjust the status of incoming purchases. Assist internal and external customers with questions. Prepare and process quotes and purchase orders. Resolve discrepancies in goods and services. Receive material and process inventory requests. Update pricing pages. Essential Skills Experience in supply chain, procurement, and purchasing. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems.

Ability to work with pivot tables. Experience in vendor management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience processing purchase orders. Experience with steel or other metal alloys is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Work with over 1500 product codes made from various alloys. The role is 100% onsite with hours from 8 to 5, and minimal overtime. The team currently consists of two other buyers and reports to the purchasing manager. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
