Description Level 1 technicians and Lead Technicians needed. We are open to candidates who are: - Former military experience, veterans who are able to complete a 2 week Fiber Optics installation boot camp - Candidates who have completed a training class in the fiber optics and datacenter building phase - Lead Level Techs - Candidates who have previous experience installing fiber optics equipment, ability to supervise teams of techs, with experience in data center build projects.
The Role: 6 months of work in the IES site at the Google Data Center construction site Installing data center cabling and equipment - fiber optics, racks, cable trays Preparing equipment ready for installation into new build data centers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Lift 50 pounds Work in construction space - heat/cold, inside and outside work Work on large teams Follow instruction Use what has been learned in the training class and apply it Using your intiative Self starter, find work to do, it's a large site, we value people who will stay engaged and work hard to accomplish their tasks all day Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haskell, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
