Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our private land development team. This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with private developers and a strong understanding of zoning, permitting, and site design.
Responsibilities Prepare site development plans including grading, drainage, utility layout, and roadway design. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for proposed developments. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning and environmental codes. Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other engineers to integrate design components. Manage permitting processes and interface with municipal agencies.
Use CAD and modeling software to produce construction documents. Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Essential Skills Proficiency in site development and civil engineering. Experience in civil design and land development. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Strong understanding of zoning, permitting, and site design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications 0-3 years working in the land development department of a civil firm. Professional Engineer certification is advantageous. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of NEW BERLIN, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $62000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
8 paid holidays. In addition to the traditional 6 annual holidays, Lynch & Associates offers the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve as paid holidays as well. o 100 hours of PTO annually (accrued with each paycheck). o Health Insurance. Currently Lynch & Associates has a PPO insurance plan. Additionally, Lynch & Associates provides dental and eye insurance. o All insurances are subsidized through employee contributions on a 50/50 basis.
There is a wait period to become eligible for insurance, 30 days after the 1st of the month. o Lynch & Associates provides a 401K with a 100% company match of an employee’s contributions up to 4% of their salary.
