Job Title: CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinists and Operators Job Description Join our team to machine parts across a variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings and GD&T work instructions. Ensure accuracy by checking parts with measuring equipment provided by the tooling department or production lead. Familiarize yourself with blueprints to understand all features and characteristics. Utilize Hwacheon, Kia, Rapido lathes, equipped with bar feeders, live tooling, and sub-controls, managed through Mitsubishi Control systems.
Proficiency in 3-5 axis lathes is essential, with the ability to set up 2-3 times per day, or up to 5 depending on parts, and troubleshoot machines effectively. Responsibilities Machine parts using blueprint drawings and GD&T work instructions. Check parts with measuring equipment provided by the tooling department or production lead. Read and understand all blueprints provided with the job. Operate Hwacheon, Kia, and Rapido lathes with bar feeders, live tooling, and sub-controls.
Set up 2-3 times per day, or up to 5 depending on parts. Troubleshoot machines as necessary. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in CNC lathe operations. Proficiency with CNC, Lathe, GD&T, Hwacheon, Kia, Rapido, Fanuc controls, and Mitsubishi Control. Basic computer and electronics knowledge. Mechanical ability and conceptual skills. Active listening and critical thinking skills. Functional and technical skills for process improvement.
Experience with brass, stainless steel, and plastics. Familiarity with basic G&M codes, basic math, and blueprint reading. Ability to use calipers and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience sharpening own tools. Experience with Kia, Hwacheon, and live tooling with rotary tables. High School Diploma or GED required. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
