All qualified candidates will be contacted Job Description Our Client is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join a growing precision manufacturing team in Cinnaminson, NJ. This 1st-shift role is responsible for producing high-quality parts on CNC mills and lathes, as well as other CNC machine tools, in a climate-controlled environment. The CNC Machine Operator will set up and operate equipment, interpret engineering documentation, perform in-process inspections, and ensure that all machined components meet customer and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities Operate CNC machine tools including mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and multi-axis machining centers to produce precision components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications to determine machining requirements. Perform machine setups, including tooling installation, adjustments, and offset changes, based on experience level and job requirements.
Monitor machine performance during production runs and identify machining or tooling issues to maintain quality and productivity. Produce precision machined parts that conform to customer requirements and engineering specifications. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators. Deburr, clean, and prepare finished parts for inspection or additional manufacturing operations.
Assist with setups and develop machining skills in a production environment as experience grows. Perform basic inspection activities under supervision at the entry level and progress to more complex inspections with experience. At advanced levels, perform setups, tooling adjustments, inspections, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision. Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications at higher machinist levels.
Support first article inspections and validate machining programs on complex and multi-axis CNC equipment at senior levels. Serve as a technical resource and mentor for entry-level machinists and production team members as experience increases. Contribute to production planning, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives at lead machinist level. Skills 2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience for Machinist I level.
4+ years of CNC machining experience for Machinist II level. 5+ years of CNC machining experience for Machinist III / Lead level. Hands-on experience operating CNC mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and multi-axis machining centers. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications. Proficiency in machine operation, including performing setups, tooling adjustments, and offset changes.
Capability to perform basic and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators. Experience in precision manufacturing and producing parts to tight tolerances and customer specifications. Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machining and tooling issues during production. Ability to work effectively in a production environment and follow established processes and quality standards.
