Cnc Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools such as CNC, Manual Lathes, Milling machines, and more, to manufacture components according to specified tolerances and dimensions. You will interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches and utilize a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual machines including lathes and milling machines. Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches. Utilize machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Demonstrate proficiency with Haas and Fanuc controls. Learn new skills and follow written procedures effectively. Multitask and prioritize work efficiently. Maintain strong attention to detail in all tasks.

Document processes and organize work effectively. Communicate clearly in written and spoken English. Lift over 50 pounds safely. Essential Skills 4+ years of machining experience. Proficient in both CNC and manual setups. Computer skills including email composition and general PC knowledge. Experience with lathe, mill, CNC, and Mastercam. Ability to read and create drawings to explain issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Programming skills, particularly with Mastercam, are an asset.

Self-starter with the confidence to make judgment calls. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Professional communication skills to read, write, and explain instructions. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work a day shift from Monday to Friday with flexible hours between 6 AM and 4:30 PM. You'll report to supervisor personnel and collaborate with all machinists at our Delta facility, with occasional travel to the Ferndale location if required. The work environment includes a mix of paid and unpaid breaks to ensure a balanced workday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
