Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, specifically focusing on CNC lathes (Mazak). You will read and interpret blueprints, select appropriate feeds and speeds, change out tooling, and perform offsets. Your role will also involve participating in improvements in production, service, quality, and safety while collaborating with various departments to ensure product completion.
Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes (Mazak). Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Select appropriate feeds and speeds, change tooling, and perform offsets. Participate in production, service, quality, and safety improvements. Collaborate with multiple departments to complete products. Ensure quality performance meets or exceeds customer expectations. Communicate effectively using all available channels.
Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and complete appropriate documentation. Perform in-process inspections to maintain quality standards. Demonstrate flexibility to work in other departments as required. Maintain a strong focus on safety. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months CNC operating experience on a lathe. Proficiency in blueprint interpretation. Experience with quality inspection tools like micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Mazak machines (strongly preferred). Knowledge in CNC setup and understanding of Mazatrol/Conversational programming. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
