You will work primarily with brass and other small, intricate materials, performing both CNC and manual machining tasks while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities Set up and operate 30-taper, 4-spindle rotary CNC wood router machines, including Haas CNC routers. Prepare and position parts correctly on the machine to ensure accurate and efficient production runs. Machine a variety of small metals and materials, often no thicker than 1/8 inch and small enough to fit in your hand. Produce components such as rings, buttons, bracelets, and other jewelry and home goods using CNC machining processes.

Work predominantly with brass, which will account for the majority of machining work. Follow job travelers and written work instructions carefully to meet production and quality requirements. Perform in-process inspection of your own parts using basic inspection tools to verify tolerances and dimensions. Adjust machine settings and use CNC controls to edit and refine programs as needed for optimal performance.

Incorporate manual machining techniques when required and remain open to performing non-CNC machining tasks. Collaborate with team members and follow verbal instructions during training and daily operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area in a small machine shop environment. Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices while operating CNC and manual equipment. Essential Skills At least 4 years of CNC machining experience, including full set-ups on mills up to 4-axis.

Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC routers and Haas CNC machines. Hands-on experience with CNC machining set-ups in a production environment. Ability to use CNC controls such as Fanuc or Haas to edit and set up programs. Capability to read and interpret job travelers and written work instructions. Skill in following verbal instructions accurately during training and daily work. Competence in using basic inspection tools to perform in-process inspection and verify part tolerances.

Ability to machine small, detailed parts from metals and other materials with tight tolerances. Strong English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Mach3 or willingness to learn a PC-based Mach3 controller during on-the-job training. Background working with brass and other non-ferrous metals in a machining environment.

Experience in both CNC and manual machining, with openness to performing manual machining tasks as needed. Prior work in a small machine shop or manufacturing environment. Openness to candidates at the operator level who are eager to be trained and grow their CNC skill set. Why Work Here? Join a long-established, family-run brand that has grown significantly in recent years and now has a global presence across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

You will work in a stable, thriving organization that values craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail, with opportunities to contribute to unique, high-end products in the fashion industry. The environment supports learning and training, including exposure to different CNC controllers and machining techniques, offering room to expand your skills and advance your career. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment within a small, well-equipped machine shop that houses approximately 5–10 machines.

The facility is indoors and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable and clean workspace. You will work on the first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some optional overtime opportunities during the busy October to December holiday period, but no mandatory overtime.
