Commercial Roofing Technician | $16-18/hr Job Description The Commercial Roofing Technician installs commercial roofing systems and sheet metal components on a variety of buildings, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and durability on every project. Responsibilities Install commercial roofing systems on a variety of building types according to project specifications and industry standards.
Install sheet metal components, including flashing, trim, and related metal roofing elements. Assist with the installation of metal roofing and residential roofing as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and effectively to complete daily tasks. Prepare work areas by setting up materials, tools, and safety equipment before starting roofing activities. Follow construction plans and instructions to ensure accurate and precise installation.
Inspect completed work to verify quality, durability, and adherence to safety and building codes. Work as part of a roofing crew to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Maintain a clean and organized job site, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights and in outdoor environments. Work Environment This role is fully field-based and requires working outdoors in all climates, including hot, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
Typical shift hours run from 6:00 AM until project tasks are completed for the day, generally around a 9-hour workday, with end times varying based on workload and project needs. Work takes place on active construction sites and rooftops, requiring comfort with heights, physical labor, and the use of standard roofing and construction tools and equipment. Appropriate work attire and safety gear are required to meet job site and safety standards.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
