Construction Laborer Groton, CT | Contract | $28/hr + Benefits Offered What You'll Do Assist with demolition, site preparation, and general construction activities. Remove debris and materials from active work areas and maintain project cleanliness. Help prepare and level ground for retaining wall restoration and reconstruction projects. Support masonry and concrete repair activities by handling materials, tools, and equipment.
Operate hand tools such as shovels, grading rakes, wheelbarrows, and measuring devices. Use power tools including drills, hammer drills, and chipping hammers. Measure and lay out materials accurately using tape measures and other job-site tools. Load, move, and distribute construction materials throughout the project site. Work closely with crew members to complete tasks efficiently and maintain project schedules.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in construction, landscaping, demolition, or general labor. Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day. Experience using common construction hand tools and power tools. Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure. OSHA 10 certification. Valid U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate for facility access requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Masonry experience, particularly retaining wall construction or repair. Concrete experience including drilling, chipping, patching, or restoration work. Carpentry, decking, or general construction experience. Previous experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites. Why Join Us? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norwich, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
