Job Title: Construction Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our team. The first project involves wrapping up a $60 million pharmaceutical manufacturing project, with ground-up construction on an existing campus. Please note that details regarding the project owner are under a non-disclosure agreement, but further information will be provided during the interview process.
This position is based in Louisville, KY, and while it is a salaried role, there is the opportunity for overtime at straight time pay. The project is expected to wrap up in January 2027, with subsequent projects planned immediately after. Responsibilities Provide technical, administrative, and subcontractor management support to Project Managers and Project Directors. Travel to and support multiple projects throughout the Midwest region.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of execution plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets. Manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and communication among project stakeholders. Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes. Participate in safety planning and quality assurance, including shop drawing reviews and design compliance. Track project costs, invoice preparation, and reporting.
Maintain project documentation systems and assist with closeout deliverables and turnover packages. Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, and ongoing team coordination across departments. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree. 3-8 years of experience in Engineering, Project Delivery, or a related discipline.
Experience with submittals, contracts, and client communication. Proficiency in managing workflow using Procore. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient in construction management and project execution. Experience with construction documentation and change orders. Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders. Work Environment This role involves traveling to various project sites throughout the Midwest region.
The work environment is dynamic and requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. The position offers a per diem of $5,000/month, inclusive of home rotations, and covers initial mobilization and demobilization costs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
