Job Title: Quality Manager Job Description The Quality Manager serves as the quality champion for one or more construction projects, overseeing all quality management activities related to workmanship, materials, documentation, and project close-out. This role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting or exceeding quality standards. The Quality Manager coaches and mentors project teams in quality management principles, leads key quality processes, and drives continuous improvement through data analysis, audits, and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities Lead and manage quality management activities for assigned projects, including quality of the works, material management, documentation, and close-out to support safe, efficient, effective, and profitable project execution.
Coach, mentor, and train project staff in quality management principles, procedures, and project-specific requirements to build strong quality culture across all project teams. Serve as a mentor and coach to Quality staff, supporting their career development and improving retention through guidance, feedback, and ongoing training. Lead and manage key quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports (QIRs), and follow-up inspections to ensure issues are identified, documented, and resolved.
Establish, monitor, and report on project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and QIRs to drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards. Analyze project KPIs, evaluate trends, and develop and recommend improvement strategies to enhance quality performance and reduce non-conformances. Routinely audit project quality programs using Project QC Evaluation and other auditing tools, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and corrective actions.
Provide feedback to Operations and Quality Management regarding major QIRs, project team relationships, owner and client perceptions, and recurring quality non-conformances. Direct inspection, testing, and documentation of the works, ensuring all activities comply with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements. Schedule and coordinate inspection and testing activities among operations teams, consultants, material laboratories, and the client to maintain efficient workflows and accurate results.
Create and implement project-specific inspection and test plans, quality control plans, and other procedures as needed to meet project requirements and industry standards. Support review of material specifications, including concrete mix designs, thermal control plans, and other specialized quality elements, ensuring materials meet performance and compliance requirements. Develop and manage risk management strategies that improve project profitability by reducing risk, increasing efficiency, and strengthening process management and risk mitigation.
Maintain strong working relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, design partners, and other stakeholders to support project partnering, collaboration, and effective issue resolution. Support Site Safety efforts to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety procedures, requirements, and goals, integrating safety considerations into quality processes. Monitor project quality-related costs, including resource utilization, and work to improve alignment with as-bid budgets while optimizing project billing returns and risk reporting.
