Description As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff. You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team.
You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues. You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
Skills cabling installation Top Skills Details cabling installation Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in low-voltage cabling, telecom, data centers, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics. Ability to safely lift and move up to 35 lbs repeatedly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods. Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and wearing required PPE. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for documentation, ticketing, and inventory systems. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines. Ability to push, pull, and maneuver server racks, carts, and equipment safely as part of a team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
