Description Our client is a national commercial and federal systems integrator. Their seasoned staff has keen insight into trends and emerging technologies that are changing the way we work, communicate, and protect our society. They offer design, installation, support and project management for Distributed Antenna Systems, Passive Optical Networking, voice/data, wireless systems, security, audio visual, data center services, and video teleconferencing delivering powerful IP-centric, integrated solutions that get results.
At minimum these candidates need to be able to install fiber/copper, run, pull, dress, label, rack/stack, terminations, etc. Testing/troubleshooting experience is preferred but not needed, they will take lead experience as well if we can find it. Schedule 6-7 days a week, 12 hour shifts Monday-Saturday (need to be open to working Sundays as well) Start time: Early access, night shift 6:30pm-6:30am Start time: full access (second wave November) day/night shift (6:30pm-6:30am and 6:30am-6:30pm) Employees must arrive at the shuttle location by 6:15 AM and take transportation to the job site Responsibilities Pull and install fiber optic cabling Work with backbone fiber including: 288-count fiber 144-count fiber Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes Cable dressing, labeling, and organization Terminations fiber/copper Assist with fiber testing and troubleshooting utilizing: Fluke test equipment OTDR testing equipment Follow data center standards and safety procedures Qualifications Data center experience needed Fiber optic/copper installation experience needed Experience with fiber/copper testing and troubleshooting is a plus (fluke/OTDR) Ability to work in a fast-paced construction/data center environment Need to be able to work 12 hour shifts (night shift for now) 6-7 days a week Training & Onboarding Orientation starts on 10/5 onsite and runs every morning (20 technicians per class) Client onboarding TEK onboarding OSHA 10/Scissor certs needed (candidates pay for these) ***Drug test and random drug testing onsite*** Requirements Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required Drug Test required Back ground through ORACLE onsite during orientation Skills Data center, Cable, Rack and stack, Hardware, Hardware troubleshooting, Troubleshooting, Racking, fiber, preterminated fiber, OTDR, fluke, fiber installation, Infrastructure, Data center maintenance, fiber optic, fiber optic cable Top Skills Details Data center,Cable,Rack and stack,Hardware,Hardware troubleshooting,Troubleshooting,Racking,fiber,preterminated fiber,OTDR,fluke,fiber installation Additional Skills & Qualifications 12 hour shifts, nigth shift, 6-7 days a week attitude attendance work ethic team player growth mindset reliability culture fit Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Red Oak, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
