Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Summary We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and minimizing equipment downtime in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, automation, and control systems. Install, test, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment. Provide basic mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed. Diagnose issues with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and related equipment. Document maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS). Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Communicate equipment issues and maintenance updates to the team. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Qualifications 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and reading electrical schematics. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and automated equipment. Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with CMMS software preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Commitment to workplace safety and compliance practices. Position may require shift work, including nights, weekends, or rotating schedules. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Loves Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
