Job Title: Engineer Product II – Electronics Systems Job Description This Electrical Engineer position focuses on developing vehicle electrical systems. You will own and deliver electrical system requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, and ensure robust integration of hardware, software, and wiring harnesses into production vehicles. The role combines hands-on engineering, supplier collaboration, and structured product development practices to create reliable, high-performing electrical systems.

Responsibilities Own and develop electrical system requirements, including hardware and software, in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Design, develop, and release vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, through the production system. Create, organize, and maintain bills of material (BOM) for electrical systems on vehicles. Work with external suppliers to assess component feasibility, drive development, and ensure seamless integration into vehicle systems.

Provide build support at various stages of the product development process, including prototype and production builds. Participate in electrical system testing and validation activities to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with requirements. Coordinate and manage project deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with program objectives. Collaborate with supply management, quality, PV&V, program management, and other engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Support production during builds, including working off-shift hours when needed. Travel domestically and internationally, up to approximately 10%, to support suppliers, testing, and production activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of product development and systems engineering practices. Provide technical guidance and support to peers and cross-functional partners involved in vehicle electrical systems.

Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle electrical system design, integration, or testing. Experience developing, designing, or testing electrical components, wiring harnesses, and schematics. Solid understanding of software and hardware interaction within embedded electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to own and manage project deliverables and meet program timelines. Knowledge of general product development processes and structured engineering workflows.

Strong self-motivation with effective time management skills. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. Ability to work off-shift hours as needed to support production builds and testing. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 10%. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with agriculture or other off-highway vehicle development. Experience creating and maintaining bills of material for vehicle systems or test equipment systems.

Experience in product development software or writing test scripts for embedded product validation and verification, including SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) or HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test stands. Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools. Project management experience, including planning, tracking, and reporting on engineering activities. Experience leading and training new team members or peers.

Experience leading design and test work performed by remotely located team members. Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines beyond core electrical engineering. Experience with systems engineering practices, including requirements management and system-level validation. Work Environment You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as supply management, quality, PV&V, program management, and other engineering disciplines.
