Shift: Tues-Fri 8:30am-7pm Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description The Forklift Operator plays a key role in the smooth flow of materials throughout a busy manufacturing and warehouse facility. In this position, you operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to move raw materials, components, and finished goods, support shipping and receiving activities, and help maintain accurate inventory.

You contribute directly to production by staging materials, organizing the warehouse, and upholding strict safety and cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the facility. Load and unload incoming and outbound shipments, ensuring materials are handled carefully and correctly. Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between departments to support continuous production flow.

Stage materials for production and shipping so that orders and manufacturing runs are ready on time. Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate material counts to support inventory control processes. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including packing, loading, unloading, and general material handling. Support overall warehouse organization by keeping materials properly labeled, stored, and accessible.

Conduct daily forklift inspections and promptly report any maintenance concerns or safety issues. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations at all times while operating equipment and handling materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular housekeeping in assigned zones. Collaborate with production teams and provide material handling support as needed to meet production schedules.

Perform general labor and machine operating tasks related to material movement and production support when required. Pick and stage orders accurately for outbound shipments and internal transfers. Essential Skills Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Demonstrated ability to safely operate sit-down forklifts. Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, packing, and general labor tasks.

Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. Ability to perform accurate inventory transactions and maintain precise material counts. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed during daily tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling, staging, and documentation of materials. Solid commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures and OSHA regulations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team. Basic machine operating and production support experience in a manufacturing setting. Reliability and consistency in following daily inspection and maintenance reporting routines for forklifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Background in picking orders and organizing materials within a warehouse. Comfort working with varying workloads, including busy shipping and production periods. Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse, production, and shipping personnel. Willingness to perform general labor tasks in addition to forklift operation when needed. Why Work Here?
