Job Title: Fulfilment Pharmacist Job Description The Fulfilment Pharmacist plays a critical role in pharmacy operations by accurately verifying, dispensing, and fulfilling prescription medications while ensuring full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. This position focuses on delivering timely, safe, and effective medication therapy and works closely with pharmacy technicians, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals to support exceptional patient care.

Candidates with prior retail pharmacy experience are strongly preferred, as they bring valuable expertise in prescription verification, medication counseling, workflow management, and customer service within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring each order meets clinical and regulatory standards. Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, including drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and dosing concerns, and take appropriate action when issues arise.

Ensure strict compliance with all applicable state pharmacy board regulations, DEA requirements, and internal company policies and procedures. Provide clinical oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians throughout the fulfillment process to promote accuracy and patient safety. Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to shipment or patient delivery, confirming that all labeling, documentation, and packaging are correct.

Collaborate with prescribers to clarify medication orders, address therapeutic questions, and resolve prescription discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation, including prescription files, controlled substance logs, and other required reports. Monitor inventory levels, assist with medication management initiatives, and support efforts to optimize stock availability and reduce waste.

Support quality assurance activities and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and service quality. Assist in the investigation and resolution of medication-related issues and dispensing errors, implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of controlled substances in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

Maintain established productivity and accuracy standards in a high-volume fulfillment environment while upholding medication safety and compliance. Foster a culture of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the pharmacy team. Perform stocking, labeling, and sorting of compounded medications as needed to support efficient fulfillment operations. Utilize pharmacy software systems and other technologies to process prescriptions, manage workflow, and support accurate medication dispensing.

Essential Skills Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations, including state pharmacy board and DEA requirements. Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to medication safety and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy fulfillment environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technicians, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals. Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and medication therapy management principles. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for evaluating prescriptions and resolving medication-related issues. Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet productivity and accuracy goals.

Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality
