Job Title: General Laborer – Foil and Rubber Department Job Description This role supports the foil and rubber department by cleaning and preparing large foil pieces for reuse and assisting with rubber mold production for industrial presses. You will handle physical tasks such as lifting, pouring, and operating basic equipment while following strict safety and cleanliness standards in a highly technical, aerospace-focused environment.
Responsibilities Clean large foil sheets thoroughly and prepare them for reuse according to established processes. Apply frekote release agent to foil surfaces while wearing a respirator and following all safety procedures. Pour rubber into molds for presses, ensuring accurate filling and proper handling of materials. Lift and maneuver an industrial mixer filled with rubber from counter height to pour into molds safely.
Frequently lift and carry 30–40 lbs, and occasionally lift 50+ lbs, while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques. Use hand tools and basic production equipment to support assembly, general production, and packaging tasks. Perform general labor duties such as packing, construction-related tasks, and other shop support as needed. Meet daily and weekly production goals while maintaining quality and precision in all work.
Work with minimal supervision, staying busy and showing initiative throughout the shift. Learn and assist in different departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on varied tasks. Perform minimal data entry and counting, including basic computer functions and typing for production tracking. Follow all shop cleanliness standards and participate in maintaining a very clean and organized work area.
Adhere to safety guidelines, including respirator use and any grooming requirements necessary for proper respirator fit. Essential Skills Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, especially in general production, assembly, or industrial environments. Mechanical aptitude and experience performing technical work that requires precision and attention to detail. Ability to frequently lift 30–40 lbs and occasionally lift 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly during the workday.
Comfort working on your feet all day in a fast-paced production setting. Experience meeting production goals and working with minimal supervision. Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform minimal data entry, counting, and basic computer functions and typing. Ability to use hand tools and perform general labor, packaging, and packing tasks. Willingness and ability to wear a respirator and comply with all related safety and fit requirements.
Demonstrated initiative and a strong work ethic in prior roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in construction, general labor, or other hands-on technical jobs is beneficial. Experience in environments with technical machinery such as presses, mixers, or similar equipment is a plus. Comfort working around advanced manufacturing technologies such as laser jets, welders, saws, ovens, and presses.
Flexibility to learn different departments and processes and take on a variety of tasks as needed. Strong attention to cleanliness and process discipline in a highly regulated industry.
