Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on glass production within a manufacturing environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment used to process and handle glass products. The position involves hands-on work on the production floor, including operating machines, assisting with material movement, and contributing to overall production quality and output.
Responsibilities Operate production machinery and equipment used in glass processing in a safe and efficient manner. Support glass handling activities, including loading, unloading, and staging materials for production. Monitor machines during operation to identify issues such as jams, defects, or irregular performance and report them promptly. Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines at all times.
Assist with basic machine adjustments or setups as directed to maintain smooth production flow. Use forklifts or other material handling equipment, if trained and authorized, to move glass and related materials around the facility. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and quality standards.
Perform other general production duties as needed to support the overall operation of the facility. Essential Skills Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to operate or learn to operate production machinery safely and effectively. Capability to perform physically active work, including standing for extended periods and handling materials. Basic understanding of safe work practices in an industrial setting.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts from Monday through Thursday. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a glass worker or glass production role. Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment. Forklift experience or certification for material handling is an advantage. Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-focused setting.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
