Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This position offers two distinct opportunities within a precision-focused production environment: a 2nd shift roll label (converting) operator role and a 1st shift art setup role. Both positions involve working at specialized machinery, monitoring production for accuracy and quality, and performing light machine setup and maintenance. The work is highly detail-oriented and suited to individuals who enjoy focused, methodical tasks in a quiet, climate-controlled setting.
Responsibilities Operate production machinery while seated, closely monitoring equipment to ensure smooth, continuous operation. Set up machines according to job specifications, including configuring settings and preparing materials for production runs. Perform basic, minimal maintenance on machines as needed to maintain safe and efficient operation. Inspect products and labels for accuracy, quality, and consistency, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during machine setup and light maintenance activities. Follow detailed work instructions and production procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Complete required measurement testing to confirm precision and quality standards are met. Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines and production protocols.
Collaborate with team members and communicate any machine or quality concerns to appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Experience with general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience operating machines or equipment in a production setting. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive, precision-based tasks.
Ability to perform basic machine setup and minimal maintenance tasks. Comfort with inspection work and verifying measurements and quality standards. Capability to complete and pass a measurement test as part of the hiring process. Reliability in following established procedures and safety guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in roles that require high attention to detail, such as administrative, educational, or library-related work, can be beneficial.

Shifts include a 1st shift from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and a 2nd shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., providing options for different scheduling preferences. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and a calm, structured atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mason City, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
