Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician performs hands-on inspection and measurement of production parts on the manufacturing floor, ensuring that first-run, in-process, and last-run parts meet defined quality standards and documented tolerances. This role supports consistent product quality by using precision measuring tools, interpreting measurement results, and clearly communicating quality issues to production personnel.

Responsibilities Perform detailed inspection and measurement of first-run parts to verify they meet specified dimensions and tolerances before full production begins. Conduct periodic in-process checks on parts throughout the production run to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards. Inspect last-run parts to confirm that product quality remains consistent through the end of the production run.

Use calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to accurately measure parts and components. Read and interpret metric rulers to obtain accurate measurements in metric units. Calculate and verify tolerances to determine whether measured parts fall within acceptable limits. Record and maintain inspection results in the documentation system in a clear, accurate, and timely manner. Identify nonconforming parts and communicate quality issues promptly to production personnel.

Collaborate with production staff on the manufacturing floor to resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions. Follow established quality procedures and inspection standards to ensure consistency and reliability of measurements. Essential Skills Hands-on inspection experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using calipers and gauges for precision measurement.

Ability to read and interpret a metric ruler accurately. Ability to calculate and assess tolerances based on specifications. Familiarity with using a documentation system to record inspection data. Strong communication skills to effectively discuss quality issues with production personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation. Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and perform inspections throughout production runs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with first-run, in-process, and last-run part inspections. Comfort working closely with production teams in a fast-paced environment.
