Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role involves general labor on a production line, including packing, boxing, and packaging a variety of baked goods. You support day-to-day production activities by handling products, operating basic machinery, and maintaining a steady workflow in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform general production line work such as packing, boxing, and packaging baked goods.

Handle products safely and efficiently while maintaining consistent quality standards. Operate basic production and packaging equipment as required, following all instructions and safety procedures. Load and unload trays and products on the production lines, including cakes, muffins, crumpets, bagels, English muffins, cookies, and similar items. Align trays, place cups, and prepare products for baking and packaging in designated areas.

Conduct basic visual quality checks to ensure products meet specifications before boxing and shipment. Work comfortably with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and productivity throughout the shift. Lift and move materials and boxes weighing up to 30–50 lbs as needed during production activities. Support cross-training efforts by learning and working in multiple plants and production areas. Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines, including proper use of equipment and adherence to facility rules.

Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient production. Collaborate with team members and communicate issues or equipment concerns promptly to supervisors. Essential Skills Demonstrated general labor or general production experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment. Experience with packaging, packing, and boxing products on a production line. Ability to lift and carry up to 30–50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.

Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in production environments that may range from normal room temperature to mildly or moderately hot conditions. Willingness and ability to operate basic machinery and equipment on the production line. Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions and meet production targets.

Comfort working in different areas and plants as part of a cross-trained team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a packaging operator or production line worker. Experience in food production, bakery, or similar manufacturing environments. Basic understanding of quality assurance practices in a production setting. Ability to adapt to different production processes and product types across multiple buildings.

Work Environment You work across multiple production plants that handle a range of baked goods, with cross-training in all areas. In Plant 1, you support muffin production in a non-hot environment, aligning trays, cupping, removing trays from the line, and boxing finished products. In Plant 2, you focus mainly on packaging and boxing crumpets and related products in a comfortable, non-hot setting.

Plant 3 involves cakes packaging, bagels, and English muffins in a hotter environment, where you load and unload bagel trays and package cakes into boxes. In Plant 4, you work with cookies in a mildly hot environment, performing packaging, quality assurance, and boxing tasks.
