Job Title: Industrial Millwright Job Description The industrial millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of manufacturing and material handling equipment. This role supports production operations by ensuring conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and other mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled mechanical technician with experience in industrial maintenance, precision alignment, welding, and equipment repair.
Responsibilities Troubleshoot conveyor breakdowns and perform necessary repairs. Replace worn bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, and rollers as needed. Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure equipment reliability. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and equipment failures. Fabricate components and parts as required to support equipment maintenance. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Ensure precision alignment and use appropriate measuring tools. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Essential Skills Strong understanding of mechanical systems and power transmission equipment. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining conveyors and material handling systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience using precision measuring and alignment tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work from heights. Comfortable traveling extensively. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work primarily inside a plant or manufacturing facility, with a schedule of 10 days on and 4 days off when traveling (1st Shift, 7am - 5pm). A normal schedule is maintained when working locally within a 2-hour radius, also on 1st Shift from 7am - 5pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
