Infrastructure Project Manager Position Summary The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale low voltage infrastructure and physical security projects. This role manages projects from conception through closeout, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Projects may include structured cabling systems, fiber optic installations, network infrastructure, access control systems, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and other security technologies across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and government environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management experience, excellent client-facing communication skills, and a deep understanding of low voltage and security system installations.

Essential Responsibilities Project Management Lead multiple concurrent infrastructure and security projects ranging from small installations to multi-million-dollar deployments. Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, procurement plans, and resource allocations. Track project performance and proactively identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Ensure project deliverables meet contractual obligations, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Manage project financials, including forecasting, change orders, cost controls, and revenue tracking. Conduct regular project status meetings with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Provide timely reporting to leadership regarding project progress, budget status, and key performance indicators. Low Voltage Infrastructure Oversight Manage structured cabling projects including: Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A, and Category 7 copper cabling systems Fiber optic backbone and distribution cabling Data center cabling infrastructure Telecommunications rooms and MDF/IDF buildouts Wireless access point infrastructure deployments Ensure installations comply with project specifications, local codes, industry standards, and best practices.

Coordinate testing, certification, documentation, and project closeout deliverables. Physical Security Project Oversight Manage installation and deployment of: Access control systems CCTV and video management systems Intrusion detection systems Intercom and visitor management systems Integrated security platforms Coordinate system commissioning, programming, testing, and customer acceptance processes.

Work closely with security manufacturers, integrators, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Lead project kickoff meetings and ongoing customer communications. Manage customer expectations and provide resolution for project challenges and escalations.

Field Operations Coordination Coordinate installation teams, subcontractors, site supervisors, and technical resources. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, safety compliance, and workmanship standards. Verify staffing levels and resource availability to support project schedules. Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered. 5+ years of project management experience within low voltage, structured cabling, security integration, telecommunications, or related infrastructure environments. Demonstrated experience managing large commercial infrastructure projects.
