Lead Security Installation Technician

Lead Security Installation Technician Location: Commercial project sites throughout the area Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Overview We are seeking a Lead Security Installation Technician to join a growing team supporting enterprise-level security projects. This position is ideal for an experienced Lead Technician or a strong Level II Technician looking to take the next step into a leadership role.

The ideal candidate will have experience installing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning commercial access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems while leading installation teams and maintaining strong customer relationships. Responsibilities Lead installation teams on commercial security projects Install, terminate, configure, test, and commission security systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation Supervise project activities and provide onsite leadership Coordinate project workflow and track installation progress Perform troubleshooting and system diagnostics Support customer systems through remote troubleshooting when necessary Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction throughout project execution Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members Work independently with minimal supervision Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, and programming commercial security systems Minimum 3 years of experience leading projects or supervising installation teams Experience with: Access Control Systems IP Video Surveillance Systems Intrusion Detection Systems IP-Based Cameras Alarm Systems Working knowledge of IP networking Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience or certification with any of the following platforms is highly desired: Access Control LenelS2 Genetec Software House Pro-Watch OpenPath Video Surveillance Axis Milestone Exacq Avigilon Genetec Hanwha MaxPro Victor Intrusion Systems Bosch DMP DSC Vista Hardware ASSA ABLOY Von Duprin Adams Rite What We Offer While on Contract: Company vehicle Gas card Paid tolls Company cell phone Laptop Upon Permanent Hire: Comprehensive health benefits 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Career advancement opportunities Ongoing technical training and development Work Environment Projects are primarily located within: Hospitals Educational facilities Government buildings Warehouses Commercial buildings Candidates should be comfortable working in construction and renovation environments that may include exposure to heat, weather conditions, dust, and other challenging job site conditions.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
