Job Title: Light Source Assembler Job Description The Light Source Assembler builds and tests LED and Xenon light sources for medical devices by assembling small electrical components at a bench using hand tools, blueprints, and schematics. This role combines precise mechanical and electrical assembly, careful handling of delicate electronic and optical parts, and thorough quality inspection to ensure every light source meets strict performance and regulatory standards in a fast-paced, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Assemble electrical components and subassemblies at a bench to build light source lamps, following detailed blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Use small hand tools and assembly equipment to perform mechanical assembly and integration of components for LED and Xenon light sources. Handle delicate electronic components and optical elements with care, ensuring proper alignment, positioning, and secure connection of all parts.

Perform soldering on designated parts as needed, ensuring clean, reliable electrical connections that meet quality and safety requirements. Conduct visual inspections of assembled units to verify correct assembly, component placement, and workmanship quality. Perform functional tests of assembled light sources to confirm proper operation, alignment, and performance characteristics according to specifications.

Identify, document, and communicate any quality issues, defects, or deviations from specifications, and support corrective actions as required. Complete production documentation, assembly logs, and quality records accurately and promptly to ensure full traceability of all assembly activities. Record test results and inspection findings, including any deviations from specifications, to support regulatory compliance and internal audits.

Follow established work schedules and production priorities to meet output targets while maintaining high quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety, quality, and procedural guidelines. Work collaboratively as a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, productive manufacturing environment. Demonstrate reliable attendance and strong work ethic to support consistent production and on-time delivery.

Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings for electrical and mechanical assemblies. Proven experience in electrical assembly or electronic assembly of small components and lamps. Hands-on soldering skills for assembling and connecting electrical components. Experience performing quality inspection of assembled products, including visual and basic functional checks.

Ability to use small hand tools and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with small, delicate components and optics. Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for precise bench assembly work. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to follow written work instructions, production schedules, and quality procedures.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cooperatively in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling products. Experience soldering components. Familiarity with documenting assembly activities, test results, and quality records for traceability and compliance. Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with shifting priorities. Willingness to work overtime when needed to support production demands.
