Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description The Machine Operator performs production and inspection activities in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures. This role focuses on operating X-ray equipment, identifying product defects, documenting inspection results, and supporting continuous improvement by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The Machine Operator also contributes to team development by providing training to others when needed.
Responsibilities Operate production machinery and X-ray equipment in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Perform manual X-ray inspections on products and generate X-ray programs as required. Capture and record images from X-ray inspections, ensuring accurate and complete documentation. Identify product defects during inspection and complete all required defect documentation promptly and accurately.
Follow written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality. Provide training and guidance to other team members on machine operation and X-ray inspection processes as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to housekeeping and safety guidelines at all times. Use basic computer systems to navigate, input, and retrieve production and inspection data.
Perform work with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness, meeting production and quality targets. Carry out other duties as assigned by management to support production and inspection operations. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED. 1–2 years of X-ray experience may be required. Hands-on experience with machine operation and general production work. Ability to perform inspection tasks, including identifying defects and documenting findings.
Basic reading skills with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions. Basic computer navigation and utilization skills for data entry and record keeping. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly in a fast-paced production environment. High attention to detail with strong self-motivation and initiative. Commitment to following established safety procedures and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a machine operator or in machine operating within a production or manufacturing setting. Background in general production or inspection work, including X-ray inspection. Specific technical or vocational training or certification related to machine operation, production, or inspection is a plus. Strong focus on quality and continuous improvement in daily tasks.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
