Job Title: 5 Axis CNC Machinist/Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled 5 Axis CNC Machinists/Operators to join our dynamic team with openings available on all shifts. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of 3, 4, and 5 axis machines to produce precision parts with conformance to specifications. This role offers 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities, with hours for 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:15pm to 2:45am, and 3rd shift from Friday to Sunday, 4am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities Set up and operate 5 & 3 axis machines, cutters, and work holding tools to produce precision parts. Read and understand precision instruments to verify product conformance. Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and portable CMM or FARO. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines per setup documentation.
Measure, examine, or test completed parts to check for defects and ensure conformance using precision instruments. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine product conformance. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
Consult with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel to verify technical information. Fit and assemble fixtures and cutters to make or repair customer products. Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations. Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes for improved efficiency or adaptability. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
