Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership, technical direction, and oversight for mechanical, electrical, facilities, maintenance, and contracted service personnel within a manufacturing environment. This role establishes and manages predictive and preventive maintenance programs, ensures safe and efficient operation of facility and production equipment, and leads improvement and installation projects that support reliable operations and long-term asset performance.

Responsibilities Supervise and provide daily leadership, technical direction, and oversight to mechanical, electrical, facilities, maintenance, and contracted service personnel. Establish, implement, and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including schedules and maintenance records for facility and manufacturing equipment. Prepare work schedules, assign resources, and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects.

Diagnose and develop solutions to technical maintenance and facilities-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of problems. Lead facility and equipment improvement projects, including equipment relocations and capital equipment installation activities. Promote and enforce safe work practices while ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and applicable safety regulations.

Identify environmental, safety, and ergonomic risks and develop and execute corrective action and improvement plans. Assist in developing cost estimates, schedules, staffing plans, utility requirements, and material requirements for maintenance and facility activities. Support the procurement, coordination, and oversight of external contractors for specialized mechanical and electrical projects and services.

Collect and analyze operational and maintenance data to support recommendations for equipment upgrades, staffing needs, and resource planning. Maintain organized, clean, and orderly work areas in support of safety, quality, and operational standards. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment histories, and compliance-related records. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align maintenance priorities with manufacturing objectives.

Interpret and apply design drawings, tooling prints, and electrical schematics to guide repair, installation, and modification work. Essential Skills Two-year post-secondary degree or certificate in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of combined supervisory and technical experience in lieu of post-secondary education. Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance supervisory and/or technical experience.

Strong knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines, procedures, and policies related to maintenance and repair. Understanding of Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout requirements and practices. Familiarity with OSHA 30-hour training requirements related to safety in industrial environments. Ability to read and interpret design drawings, tooling prints, and electrical schematics. Hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with 3-phase electrical systems.

Experience with maintenance repair activities for manufacturing and facility equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in maintenance management and supervision of technical personnel. Ability to lead and coordinate on-site activities, including interviews and oversight of department operations. Strong focus on safety and adherence to established safety procedures and regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with Allen-Bradley controls and related industrial automation components. Proficiency in general electrical work in industrial settings, including panel work and equipment connections.
