Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description Duties include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC's. Proactively maintains all plant electrical systems, all equipment electronics, motors, drives and other power transmission systems. This position also has the responsibility to perform any and all mechanical and electrical tasks as assigned. taking eligible family member to doctor’s appointment); up to 2 weeks per year for Parental Leave Responsibilities Proactively maintain plant electrical systems, including equipment electronics, motors, drives, and power transmission systems. Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks as assigned to support plant operations. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and operational guidelines.
Develop and maintain the skill level required to perform at the top maintenance position in the plant and execute all related mechanical and electrical duties. Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Design and assemble control circuits and control cabinets, including user interfaces. Analyze existing machinery to identify opportunities for PLC automation implementation and improvements.
Troubleshoot, program, and specify motor drives to ensure proper operation and integration with control systems. Maintain and service plant switchgear and related electrical distribution equipment. Maintain a running log of barrel and screw inventory, changes, history, and throughput to support process consistency and traceability. Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, repair, and installation throughout the manufacturing plant, consistent with plant electrician standards.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve issues. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including associated controls and components. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce unplanned downtime. Install and route conduit and wiring in accordance with electrical codes and plant standards.
Diagnose and repair AC and DC electrical systems and components on industrial machinery. Identify when the scope of a job exceeds current skill level or requires additional support and escalate appropriately. Perform additional mechanical, electrical, and maintenance duties as assigned to support production and facility needs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75379.00 - $84510.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Medical/Dental/Vision – eligible on day 1 Vacation eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 80 hours (willing to negotiate vacation in offer) Floating Holiday eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 24 hours Paid Holidays (time and half for all hours worked on Company observed federal holiday) 401K matching up to 4%; annual employer contribution 3% (if employee contributes 4%, Westlake will match that plus the 3% they already contribute.
