Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems during the night shift. You will perform a wide range of mechanical and electrical tasks, support preventive maintenance activities, and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on machinery and resolve problems promptly. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, with approximately 80% of the role focused on mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance and 20% on electrical work. Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks. Maintain the facility and associated equipment in good working condition. Work with maintenance vendors to coordinate repairs, service, and parts as needed.

Keep the work area clean, organized, and in an orderly condition at all times. Complete and submit company purchase requisitions for tools, parts, and materials. Install equipment and electrical components and test them to ensure proper functioning. Ensure all machinery complies with federal, state, and company safety standards. Read and interpret instructions, operations manuals, and blueprints to perform repairs and installations.

Perform fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment and facility maintenance. Use welding skills when required for equipment repair or fabrication. Participate in troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controls. Work both independently and as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks and projects. Work overtime when required and provide occasional weekend coverage. Maintain an excellent safety record and reliable attendance.

Essential Skills Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 3–5 years of industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired. Hands-on experience with industrial controls and PLC troubleshooting. Strong mechanical skills with experience in mechanical repair and preventive maintenance. Electrical repair experience in an industrial setting.

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and their repair. Ability to read and interpret instructions, operations manuals, and step-by-step procedures. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Experience with fabrication in a maintenance or manufacturing environment. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and operating machinery. Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Welding experience for repair and fabrication tasks. Demonstrated high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proven ability to multi-task and manage several maintenance activities simultaneously. Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures. Strong, reliable attendance record.

Ability to work overtime as required, including occasional weekend coverage. Additional Skills & Qualifications Well-rounded skill set electrically and mechanically in an industrial environment. Experience in a manufacturing setting with exposure to plant equipment and facility systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are preferred. Comfort working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and various mechanical drive systems.
