Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving highly technical manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum reliability, precision, and uptime. As a Maintenance Technician, you investigate equipment issues, perform repairs and adjustments, and support machine startups so production can run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Support machine startups by preparing equipment, verifying proper operation, and addressing any issues that may impact production.
Perform machine repairs, adjustments, and operational improvements to keep critical machine tools running at peak performance. Investigate machine issues proactively to identify root causes and prevent production-stopping failures. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose and resolve equipment problems. Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, controls, and supporting equipment using systematic diagnostic methods.
Collaborate closely with machine operators, engineers, and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Document findings, repairs, and modifications to support ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with advanced automation technology in a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts related to equipment reliability and uptime. Comfort working on both electrical and mechanical aspects of complex machinery. Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to investigate issues before they become failures. Effective communication skills to clearly explain issues, repairs, and recommendations to team members. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Crawfordsville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
