Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support daily manufacturing and quality operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career manufacturing professional who enjoys working closely with the production floor, solving problems, and improving processes in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This position will split responsibilities between shop floor and quality support (approximately 80%) and engineering projects (approximately 20%).
Responsibilities Maintain and update engineering documentation, including drawings, revisions, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Support Non-Conformance (NC) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Provide day-to-day manufacturing and quality support to production teams. Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes, gauge control, and productivity improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve operational efficiency. Support engineering projects that improve manufacturing capabilities and processes. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support manufacturing activities. Participate in process improvement and cost-reduction efforts. Essential Skills 0-3 years of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related experience.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong communication and organizational skills. CAD experience. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience supporting quality systems, NCs, MRBs, or corrective actions. Continuous improvement or process improvement experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in aerospace, metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing industry. Experience with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $87360.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
