Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling large mechanical structures and components, including valves, coils, and other structural parts, within oversized modular units. You will primarily perform mechanical assembly with a smaller portion of basic electrical work, using blueprints and work instructions to build high-volume, repeatable products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly of valves, coils, bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, sheet metal, and other large mechanical structural parts. Install components into oversized structural tube modules comparable in size to an 18-wheeler. Work at a dedicated assembly station rather than on a conveyor belt system. Use hand tools such as drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, levels, and measuring tapes to complete assembly tasks.

Operate machines such as large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills as needed for fabrication and assembly. Carry out basic electrical assembly, including pulling wire and assisting with conduit, bus bars, bus ducting, and cable trays. Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOM), P&IDs, work orders, and work instructions to ensure accurate builds. Communicate and relay technical information from drawings and work instructions to team members to coordinate assembly activities.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency while performing repetitive, fast-paced assembly work. Follow safety procedures and remain aware of moving equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes in the work area. Collaborate with a team of assemblers and technicians to meet production goals in a mass production or high-volume manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Proven mechanical assembly experience working with valves, coils, and large structural mechanical parts.

Experienced in mass production or high-volume manufacturing environments. Experience using hand tools such as drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, levels, and measuring tapes. Experience operating machines such as large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOM), P&IDs, and work orders or work instructions. Comfort performing work that is approximately 90% mechanical and 10% electrical.

Basic electrical experience, including pulling wire and assisting with conduit installation. Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, repetitive assembly setting. Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate tasks within an assembly team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanical assembler, electro-mechanical assembler, mechanical technician, or valve technician.

Experience assembling large modular or structural products similar to those produced in large-scale fabrication or manufacturing facilities. Exposure to similar manufacturing companies or environments focused on modular fabrication or high-volume assembly. Familiarity with industrial safety practices in environments with welding, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Why Work Here? You will join a high-volume manufacturing environment where teamwork, technical craftsmanship, and continuous production are central to the operation.

The role offers the opportunity to work on large, complex mechanical assemblies, develop both mechanical and basic electrical skills, and collaborate closely with experienced tradespeople. The setting supports hands-on learning, skill growth with a variety of tools and machines, and the satisfaction of seeing large-scale projects come together from start to finish. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment with concrete flooring and open bay doors, which means the area is not climate controlled.

You will work at a fixed assembly station alongside other assemblers and may be in proximity to welders. The facility includes frequent movement of forklifts and overh
