Job Description: Maintain engineering knowledge bases including processes, documentation, engineering change orders, bills of material, product tables, and system logs Create and evaluate setup documentation used in production operations Design equipment utilization plans to meet product requirements while balancing time, cost, and operational constraints Develop equipment and process designs including drawings and bills of material (BOMs) Create design schedules, establish project milestones, and manage design efforts to ensure timely and high-quality project completion Inspect incoming equipment and complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) prior to shipment Create and maintain manuals for equipment and custom job orders Establish systems to maximize standardization while maintaining flexibility for customized designs when necessary Build and maintain systems that support continuous improvement in batch processing equipment design and utilization Develop policies and procedures outlining responsibilities and recurring tasks within the role Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment design and operation. Experience with equipment design, testing, IQ/OQ/FAT, and process improvement. Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and meet deadlines. Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working with external vendors and equipment suppliers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
